Bacolod City

Things to Do in Bacolod

Bacolod is the City of Smiles, about half an hour south of Silay City proper — an approximate drive. The province's museum, the capitol lagoon, the cathedral and the long café evenings of Lacson Street are the day. Come hungry if you like: the chicken inasal, the piaya and the cakes are on the food guide. Then drive back north while the city is still loud.

The stay is at Bukaw, by the Malogo River in Silay. Ride apps and the airport van are in Getting around.

Drive times on this page are approximate, from Silay City proper, not measured from our gate.

Last checked 27 October 2026.

If you want the quieter morning first, start in Silay and come south for the meal.
